Lunch in Grand Cayman

Recommended Posts

Will be having a lazy beach day on seven mile beach in a couple weeks on our cruise and am curious about a good lunch spot that won't break us. I'm thinking we will be at Sea Grape or Royal Palms beach areas. I'd love fresh fish and my wife would go for a burger or maybe some jerk chicken. Any suggestions?

There are some eateries up and down the beach areas.....don't know about "fresh fish", but the burgers are standard just about everywhere!

Yes...food (and everything else!) is expensive on GC....must be because it's a big banking center and folks have boatloads of $$$$!

For the record, more commonly available (depending on the season) local fresh fish usually consists of the following:

Grouper, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Yellow Fin Tuna, Snapper, Lionfish

Salmon and Swordfish are far from local. ;)

Conch is usually imported and Lobster can be local in season.

Turtle is almost assuredly local. :D
