Kellie Poodle Posted December 28, 2012 Author #26 Share Posted December 28, 2012 Good info :). You can actually just book in one person's name and then add the other later when you book the specific cruise. That way you only tie up $100 initially. Happy Sails to You OOOEEE :D:D Bob and Phyl Correct. I actually learned about this gimmick from a cruise line booking agent. My DH has what the travel insurance companies call "pre-existing conditions" I book myself with either a "passages" certificate or onboard. I add him later at final payment. This way I don't have to buy insurance for him within 2 or 3 weeks of booking.
Christine Frances Posted December 28, 2012 #27 Share Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks Christine, That is the answer I was looking for. It sounds as though it is a very similar one to Princess and HAL with a couple of differences. You seem to get more from Celebrity than from the other two. eg. the 3 category upgrades. If you want to book Aqua Class for example, can you book Concierge and then get the upgrade to Aqua? If we enjoy our cruise in March, I will definitely be buying one for the two of us whilst we are on board. Thanks so much. Jennie Sorry no! The upgrades only go as far as a C2 - not above ie AQ, suites etc. Still really good value.
Aussie Gal Posted December 29, 2012 #28 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Thanks for all your help. The F.C.C.'s sound better than what we have been buying on Princess as we cannot add the extra person on when booking with them. I am so looking forward to the cruise and am now counting down the days as we made final payment 10 days ago. Jennie
