What's up with the Westerdam

I see that the Westerdam is returning to Rome today from a 10 day cruise from Spain but doesn't leave until June 8th. Does anyone know why they would keep the ship docked for a week? My DW and I are on the June 8th cruise, we can't wait!! I wonder if this means we can get on the ship earlier than normal?

Her Signature of Excellence enhancements are to be finished "Spring 2005," so I'm guessing this is why she'll be out of service for a week. I believe the Culinary Arts Center is all that remains to be done.

We are also on that cruise.

I asked HAL same question and they said it was chartered the week before, but were not permitted to say who was chartering.

Maybe the charter is not fully booked and they will get it ready for us to board sooner. Maybe???
