luckyprincess Posted December 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2012 Hello everyone! I will finally be making a dream of ours come true and will be cruising with my family this February! We are going to be in San Juan around 4pm. My Mom and I love to walk around old beautiful cemeteries as we find them really peaceful and interesting. Does anyone know of any in walking distance? If you dock in Old San Juan, you can walk to San Cristobal and El Morro - old forts-and there is a really cool cemetery at El Morro-you can't miss it. Of course, docking at 4, it doesn't leave much daylight time. Personally, we loved all of OSJ

tinybabynurse Posted January 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2013 Arriving at 4:00 PM is unfortunate. Doesn't give you time to go into the forts and I believe the cemetery near the sea at El Moro closes at 4:00 PM. But you still can view it from outside the cemetery wall or from the grounds of El Moro. It is beautiful. The Cemetery area is safe but the adjacent Bario (La Perla) does not have a good reputation and we personally avoid that area and leave the cemetary before it gets late.
