Hi Debi ... first, I think your review is great!

I have a question about the M&M. Did the ship provide nametags?

Our last two cruises had them in our staterooms when we boarded. I've heard some conflicting info about this and thought I'd ask you.

Thanks in advance and again ... this review is great!

Hi CroozeAddict! (love your name!) Yes, they did provide name tags...sort of. The invitation had a place for your name & screen name. You gave part of the invitation at the door to get in, the other part with your name slid into this plastic thingy that had an attached pen. It would open up to reveal a note pad. It also had a lanyard string to wear around your neck. They did not provide old-fashioned write your name - stick it on your shirt name tags though. Sorry, if I had it with me right now I'd take of a picture of it. I can do that tonight if you want me to....

Thanks for reading my review. More to come tonight!
Just jumpng in here, the black ones are not poisonous as in to eat, (at least I don't think so) but thier Spikes do have venom. I have read that some people don't think they have venom, but I am pretty sure those people haven't stepped on one. :D I have I know they have venom. I am pretty sure all of them have venom in thier spikes, not just the black ones.
thanks for that. I know they aren't poisonous to eat, but wondering how strong their sting may be if just touched, but not stepped on. Venom or not, I don't think I'd want to step on one!

No you don't want to step on one. It was not a horrible pain, seemed like kind of a electric shock. I could feel it all over my body, I esp remember the sensation in my cheeks. I got 7 spines about the size of a toothpick in my foot and toes. the spines all broke off and didnt stick out past my skin. The venom kicked in and it got numb really quickly, it swelled up a lot too. They gave me treatment at the bar, he poured vinegar on it, although everyone in the bar said to pee on it. Then he lit a sterno can and held the flame til it almost touched my skin. I could feel the heat and that felt good, but it didn't burn. This killed the spikes so they stopped giving off venom. They didn't pull them out, said it was better to let them just disolve in my body. No infection that way. Ship doc agreed with them. by the next morning I was walking just fine with no swelling.
I would guess if you touched the urchins without breaking the skin, there would be no problems. I'm not gonna try it though. :D
ok, back to this wonderful review!! I'm on her on Sunday!

The next morning we woke up in St. Lucia. I had purposely not scheduled any excursions for that day. There were 3 other large ships in port and I didn't want to deal with the traffic and people. In retrospect, I was wrong. This island is gorgeous. Just looking out from the balcony and seeing this islands stunning lush green tropical forest was beyond words. After talking with several people that had done various activities on the island, I really screwed up! Now I have even more reason to go back!

Since the weather was a bit rainy, we thought we’d explore the upper decks of the ship before heading off the ship and into the port in St. Lucia.
Were there many shops open right there near the ship? When we were there in 2007, that area was being re-designed.

Thank You,

Angela
Hey there Daycare Provider - we will be sailing right after you on April 7th - we sailed together on Freedom in May 2011 - We were in Paso for Xmas kept looking for you - visited a couple of wineries - most of the wine tasting shops around the square are gone - what happened - maybe we sail again someday;)

Britty1-how is it going????? The economy really hit the wine industry hard the last two years. Many of the wineries had second tasting rooms downtown and closed them when business was slow. Believe it or not, things are starting to slowly...very slowly pick back up.
