This might sound like a stupid request but I have a few questions to rest assure my dad and my sister ...

We are doing a B2B on the Freedom this February and March and my family and I wanted to know where the self Laundry rooms are located and if they are on the Freedom at all? how much does it cost to use the facillities? and is their dryers?

oh and if anyone has any pictures of these laundry rooms that would be great also :)

Thanks!

I just went to Carnival's website and checked FAQ for "Laundry". This came up:

"

Self-Service Launderettes:

Each ship has at least 2 self-service launderettes located on the stateroom decks.

There are two or three washers and dryers, and one iron and ironing board in each launderette. The cost is $3.00 per washer load and $3.00 per dryer load. Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener at $1.00 per box.

Note: Due to local environmental requirements, the washing machines in the guest' launderette will be closed in port, per each ports specific requirements; the dryers and irons will be available for guest use.

Cashless Washers and Dryers – on Carnival Breeze & Carnival Dream

This cashless system allows guests to swipe their Sail & Sign card in a card reader machine inside the launderettes and then choose the number of the machine they want to use. Guests will be able to view these charges on their Sail & Sign account.

Note: The cost is $3.25 for the washer and the dryer each and $1.50 for the detergent."

When we sail a different line, we bring along our own detergent, which you can buy as 'sheets' that disolve with water... and our own dryer sheets too. Plus we now have a handy laundry 'basket' which folds right up to fit into our luggage but easy to flip open to hold the laundry and carry to the laundry area. You may want to check the ship's deck plans to find out where they are located on your particular ship.

Do yourself a favor and bring your own detergent and dryer sheets. The vending machines have limited options and can run empty or malfunction. You do not need to bring coins as you can get them at the information desk or in the casino.

thank you Paul :) we will do a trip to Walmart before the cruise :D
