Sweetpace Posted January 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Are the balconies on the Emerald Princess tiered? For example, they are tiered on the Sapphire. We were on dolphin deck and all the cabins on the higher decks could see right onto our balcony. We are on dolphin deck on Emerald next year. Princess Patches Posted January 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2013 Yes, they are tiered. If you want a mini suite that has a covered balcony and is private, book a mini suite on Emerald deck. There are just a few of them in the aft area of Emerald deck, but they have the privacy you desire.
Pam in CA Posted January 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2013 The Emerald is just like the Sapphire: tiered. All of the Grand-class (larger) ships are tiered.
Aussie Gal Posted January 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2013 We had a lovely private balcony when on the Emerald in October. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't really warm enough to sit outside but if we went on any of those large ships again we would definitely go for the same cabin. We were in a mini suite on Emerald deck and our cabin number was 731. It was very quiet and there was very little movement from the sea.
