Fitness Classes and Spa Access

It has been a few years since we have sailed. Back in the day, when my husband did the spin class he had access to the steam rooms in the spa. Is that the case on the new ships? We will be sailing the Magic in March and are trying to decide whether to upgrade to the spa deck, keep the current cabin and buy the week pass, and whether we will get access with fitness classes.

From what I understand, on most ships, the sauna and steam rooms are free to anyone.
