Has anyone taken this cruise? We're about to book a 2013 Viking Christmas Market cruise and I'm wondering about the Rhine River Getaway leaving from Basel.

 

Does the ship over-night in Basel?

 

How far from Basel's old town is the docking? (I checked Viking's info and it looks far in an industrial area)

 

If you fly into Basel via Viking's air package is there any chance to see the Christmas Market there?

 

Any comments about Markets in other cities?
