9pm Flight - What to Do???

We (Me, husband and 2 teenage boys) have a 9pm flight home for our April Break cruise! I kind of regret it now, but, we did it for the price.

Anyways...I now need to figure out what we are going to do the whole day. Please chime in and let me know what you think based on what I've found so far, or, let me know what you did.

1. Book the Excusrion with airport transfer from Carnival. If we do this, it looks like we will get to the airport around 2pm'ish and then we will have to find stuff to do with all of our luggage at the airport for quite some time.

Our excusrions options:

  • South Beach - this one is in the lead
  • Miami Aquarium
  • Everglades

2. Rent a car from Hertz. Looks like there is a shuttle we can get from the Port and then return the car to MIA. This seems like a good option, but, I am worried we may be so tired and will need to find stuff to do all day.

3.My recent thought is renting a hotel room at MIA. We can hangout at the hotel for the day, use the pool, take a nap, take a shower before we head to the airport. The flaw with this is "will they let us check-in early?"

Thanks for any ideas!!! :)

We booked a day pass through a website I found here, between9and5.com at the Airport Sofitel. $107 for the day plus free shuttle to airport. Good luck!

Thanks for the website! Have you already done this? If so, how was it?

Have done the rental car thing numerous times and have enjoyed a full day of beaching, eating, shopping, and more eating.

We did this with our teens. Nobody was too tired until we got on the flight and slept most of the way home.
