Playa Corona or Money Bar?

Any last minute advise on either of these two places for snorkeling? I will be in Cozumel with a friend and we are just looking for somewhere to go for a few hours to snorkel and sit by the ocean. We have been to Chankanaab several times and want to try somewhere different. Is it easy enough to get a taxi back to the ship from both of these? How is the snorkeling and either location (not worried about amenities) but I have heard mixed reviews for both of these places. Any advise/suggestion would be welcome!

Been to the Money Bar a few times. Love it. Good but not great snorkeling. Nice laid back atmosphere and although we always eat and drink we don't feel a big pressure to do so. Iron shore so no beach -rocky steps into water. Small sand filled area with a retaining wall. Lounge chairs are available, no fee. Fresh water showers, clean bathrooms, cold beer and amazing guacamole. Could you really ask for more?

I've never been to the money bar, so I can't speak to that. I do catch a cab to Corona every year. No beach to speak of but pretty good snorkeling in an area close to shore and better a little farther off. Nice place to sit, relax, snorkel, drink cerveza and eat. Usually only a few people there when I'm there. Never seen it crowded.

Have been to both, and like them both. Snorkeling at least as good as Chankanaab, probably the best you will find in Cozumel with the exception of Palancar and the way south reefs (that were undamaged by the hurricane about 6 years ago).

We like the casual atmosphere, no entrance fees, friendly servers, no hassle, usually no crowds.

Skip Sunset Beach: Virtually wiped out by the hurricane, only a few artificial reef balls to attract a few fish.

Thanks so much for the info. We are off on our cruise today. Decided to go to Money Bar.
