Wine/water on flight/cruise

Recommended Posts

I have read posts about bringing wine on RC cruise and understand that 2 bottles per room is allowed. I also understand we can bring water on the ship. In June we are cruising out of Puerto Rico, so our flight is from Boston into PR and needed advise on how we transport these things on that flight. Can't go in carry-on. We have planned our transfers from the airport to the ship, so stopping for items in PR would be not only difficult, but a bit difficult to orchestrate. Any suggestions?

I often put wine bottles in my checked luggage and have never had a problem with breakage. Many wine stores sell a bubble bag in the shape of wine bottle which you can seal once the bottle is inside. The bubble wrapping protects the bottle and in the unlikely event that the bottle breaks the wine will remain inside the sealed bag.

For extra protection wrap the bubble wrapped bottle in some of your clothing such as t-shirts or an extra pair of jeans.
