Morninghiker Posted January 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2013 We are taking a Southern Caribbean Cruise in March visiting 5 ports: St Thomas Barbados St Lucia St Kitts and St Maarten. Which port do you recommend for "walk out" snorkeling from the beach? I'm not comfortable snorkeling out of my depth, but would still like to be able to see and photograph some marine life. Any help and/or advice would be great!

roysue Posted January 18, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2013 I have snorkeled here before and it is pretty good. I would recommend water shoes as the area is quite rocky. If you are interested, there is also a little "seaquarium" type thing right on the beach called Coral World. There is an entrance fee but it is a nice little place to see. If you do Coral World you also get to use the restroom facilities for the day. They have a website if you google it with some nice pictures as well. Hope you find this helpful!
