Safari Taxi

You're talking about the $2 "bus" option, there are a ton of threads with pros and cons on that subject if you search the forum. The "safari taxi" is just the typical taxi that is licensed. Most experienced visitors and residents recommend taking the $18pp RT taxi to avoid the possible waits and the walks that you will have to bear

A Safari Taxi is a truck with an open backend. There are seats back there that you sit on. There is a roof over the seats to keep you out of the sun. It is an open air vehicle. Only the driver is inside the cab. There are usually about four or five rows of benches that the passengers sit on. If you check on Godfrey Tours on St. Thomas, you may find picturs of the Safari Trucks. All of his tour vehicles are that type of vehicle. Hope my description helped.

The safari type trucks hold 25 ppl and along with vans and sedans are the primary mode of transportation on STT. I believe the question that shaz posed was about the $2 "bus" option which is another topic which can be found by searching for "$2 bus".
