mikel24m Posted January 12, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2013 Or your travel agent. If the OP was on the Carnival website one would assume they booked direct
serene56 Posted January 12, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2013 you have to call with whomever you booked your cruise with to prepay grats. all persons in the cabin must do it together== one can not prepay and the other not. its easy. Mikel-- NEVER assume. I book with an agent and always on the carnival web site checking my stuff.

DGP1111 Posted January 12, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 12, 2013  I've been curious why Carnival chose to remove that online functionality of being able to pre-pay gratuities without having to call them directly. The former online process seemed to work quite well, or at least it did for me. .
dnmccoy Posted January 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted January 13, 2013 When I booked mine last week, I had the option to PP the gratuities before I checked out. I unchecked it and now dont have the option either. I called my PVP and got it done

DGP1111 Posted January 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Aside from lessening your online expenses, is there a benefit to prepaying them as opposed to paying them while on the ship? The answer is No, beyond that charge no longer being an onboard expense. :) .
lauraezzell Posted January 13, 2013 #13 Share Posted January 13, 2013 Aside from lessening your online expenses, is there a benefit to prepaying them as opposed to paying them while on the ship? There really isn't an advantage to prepaying them other than the one you mentioned. In addition to prepaying the gratuities, we also buy the bar coupons and photo coupons ahead of time.
