Zoo to Sheraton in Nassau?

How far apart is the Zoo and the Sheraton in Nassau? We are thinking of going to the zoo in the morning and then would like to check out the sheraton afterward. Would we be able to get on the jitney near the zoo and ride it to the Sheraton or would we need a taxi? If taxi--how much would that ride be? Or could we walk??

The sheraton is about 5 miles from the zoo. You can walk to the main road from the zoo (about 2 blocks down an incline).. and hop on the #10 or 12 jitney bus.. Sheraton is now $30pp for a required day pass.
