Snorkeling in the Caribbean

We will be on the Ruby in April and are wondering which of our stops offers the best snorkeling? Princess Cays, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, or Grand Turks? We have a group going and will probably only snorkel once so we are looking for the best place and if anyone has a preference to a Princess excursion or individual company I would appreciate it.

I've done St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Really enjoyed St. Thomas. We did the ship excursion with Castaway Girl. I saw more fish and we went over a shipwreck we could see from the surface.

 

We are on the Ruby again in February and I am doing St. Thomas again with an independent firm.

Grand Turk is a great place for snorkeling We snorkeled with Blue Water Divers. Mitch is the owner. A great guy and very knowledgeable. Check out his web site. It cost $50 a person. Have fun!

In our experience Trunk Bay in St. John provides the best snorkeling. Grand Turk was just okay. Of course, a lot depends on the time of year and weather conditions.
