daijayx2 Posted January 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2013 I always walk away from a cruise with more cash then I started with thanks to the craps table!! I love them and honestly they have paid off better than any casino I have visited thus far!! I especially enjoyed the craps table on the Triumph! kwoody Posted January 19, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 19, 2013 Does anyone how many times odds are available? The triumph I know has 2x odds and is a 10$ minimum table last September. Before, I thought I remembered them being 5$ tables but the dealers said something about how gambling is more popular out of Galveston or something. On the conquest when it was out of Galveston there was 5$ craps but seems they switched to 10$ on the Triumph.

kwoody Posted January 20, 2013 #10 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Breeze two times behind the line - ripoff I dont know if I would consider it a ripoff still one of the lowest house edge games in the casino. It is also still better than RCCL which had only 1x odds on the Mariner when I went on her a couple of weeks ago. http://wizardofodds.com/games/craps/ Good site to break down house odds etc., based on the odds the house gives. Either way. I like 5$ tables and 2x odds on a ship to pass my time, I play it almost exclusively with maybe a little BJ mixed in. But 2x is decent considering there is no other competition on the ship.

Jimmy Geegitz Posted January 20, 2013 #12 Share Posted January 20, 2013 I like the gamblers who post all the great rates they get from Carnival for Cabins. Which I'm sure they do but Carnival isn't stupid. They get their money bck in the casino. Probabaly 2-3 times what they would have paid for regular rate. They may win on a ocassion but in the long run they lose more than they would have paid full price for a cabin. daijayx2 Posted January 25, 2013 #14 Share Posted January 25, 2013 Beware of people who gamble and say they never lose. I didn't say I never lose. I just said I always walk away ahead. I lose at lots of things but have had great luck with the dice. Melissa Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

TMWTim Posted January 25, 2013 #16 Share Posted January 25, 2013 I have been messing with iPad apps recently to learn Craps, basically because I don't want to slow the game down with instructions, but haven't found one that really gets to the fast paced part of it. I would love to get off the Roulette.

I would love to get off the Roulette. The casino staff will teach you. If you haven't got the swing of it by the time you cruise again, go to the table when it's not busy and ask to be shown. I know that I used to HATE going to the casino in Mississippi and New Orleans with my X and her play craps because the game can go on all night. Especially if you're winning. But now that I have learned to play myself, I won't play anything else. Melissa Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

jiggs Posted January 25, 2013 #19 Share Posted January 25, 2013 double odds is pretty weak, but it limits CCLs exposure on huge roles where people keep pressing and stacking up money behind their bets. It would bother me when I couldn't press come bets on a hot table. I may need to place bets instead so I can press if a shooter continues to make the same number. regardless of the odds CCL knows people are going to play. Craps players gravitate towards that game regardless of the odds. I know I usually play 10x odds tables, even 100x odds in Vegas, but 1000 miles from shore on a ship I don't have many options. sailor_jimc Posted January 25, 2013 #20 Share Posted January 25, 2013 minimum bet has been $5 on all 30 of my Carnival cruises. 2X odds That is true on all ships I have been on except the Triumph. The triumph holds their craps table at a $10 minimum (with 2x odds). The Triumph runs the short cruises which tend to draw the gamblers, so they claimed that the table fills up too quickly at $5. Which of course was BS as the table was empty a LOT of the time...
