dinner seating

Since the table numbers can vary slightly depending on what is needed on a particular cruise, best bet is go to the maitre d when you board and check it out with him and he also can show you a map of the table set ups. He is usually available around 2, as I recall. Then you can go to the dining room to see the table in person if you want.

I wouldn't head to the dining room with the table number first. It will take you awhile to find the table and then you might have to see the maitre d anyway. Skip that step and save time.;)

In fact, we first went to the dining room to check out our table on the Crown last Jan. We hustled to see the maitre d as we were placed at a table for 8, when we requested a two top. The maitre d showed us his map and our table number was a two top on his plan. We told him not accoriding to what we just saw. He was not happy and went with us to the dining room and switched back not only our correct table number but found two others changed. Apparently cruisers switch numbers on their own and apparently this happens enough to really set the guy off! Can't blame him. It messes up the servers and their assigned tables.
