Has anyone ever experienced adding a 3rd guest on the regular YC1 Suite?

Looking at the deck plan, they say that on my cabin (16019) the 3rd and 4th beds are bunks. On the virtual tour I couldn't find any bunks...

Thank you a lot for your help!

There are no bunks at all, but the sofa can be used as a doublebed:) I have no experience in adding more than two guests but if you do go for one of the large YC1 cabins, there are 4 of them on each deck 15 and 16.

Here is a couple of photos from cabin 16032 on our last cruise on MSC Divina:

Note the cozy interior colours:)

PS, thanks to All Aboard for the YC2 picture, would love more of them as I really don't know how they are.:D

Thank you a lot for the pictures and your precious help! After I posted my question I found out I was confused with the symbols for YC with balcony and bunk beds (they look pretty similar ).. anyway, I'm trying to change my cabin to one of those 8 with the sofa to add a 3rd guest... :D

The best 8 YC1 cabins (16032 -16035 and 15029 - 15031) are not the only ones that have sofa beds, The other YC1 (50 of them) cabins have them as well. So as there are only 3 YC2 cabins and 8 nice YC1 cabins (plus the 4 forward looking cabins with the obstructed views from the balcony) it means you'll need to get a move on to book one of those as they go fast.

Thanks Skier52!

Apparently, the regular YC1 cabins from the MSC Fantasia do have the sofa but it can't be turned into a bed...the only YC1 cabins with the sofa bed are those 8 that you listed (this is what my travel agent and the MSC Fantasia deck plan on the website say).

We're trying to move to one of the "special" cabins thanks to you...let's see what happens!:D

It looks like Fantasia has 12 of the "special" YC1 cabins so I wish you "Bonne Chance" with getting moved to one. You'll have more chance than you would on Divina.

The fact that Fantasia has 12 of theses cabins is a marked difference to the 8 which Divina has but she also has 16 out of the 48 ordinary YC1 cabin with sofa beds (ours 15013 did have a sofa bed as shown in my picture, so sorry to have misled you a little but I didn't realise you are on Fantasia and that she is different).

The other visible difference is the size of the top sail lounge. What ever cabin you eventually get you'll really love the Yacht Club, it's a brilliant experience.

Have fun with the priority lifts (get your butler to explain them to you) , worked from your cruise card, and I challenge you to find deck 17 or any cabin with a number ending **017.

THE No 17

From ABOUT . com

In Italian culture, the number 17—not 13—is considered unlucky. When the number 17 is viewed as the Roman numeral XVII, and then changed anagramtically to VIXI, it reminds Italians of the Latin language phrase which translates to "I have lived", the perfect tense implying "My life is over." Furthermore, if Friday 17 comes in November, that is the unluckiest day of all, because November 2 is memorial day to the deceased in Italy. When that occurs, November is called "the month of the deceased."

To what extent do Italians avoid the number 17? The Italian airline carrier, Alitalia, does not have a seat 17. Renault sold its "R17" model in Italy as "R177." And at the Cesana Pariol bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track in Cesana, Italy, turn 17 is named "Senza Nome."

MUSTS

1)Make sure you get your daily newspaper ordered, They are free and laser printed and bound down one edge.

2)Get your butler to escort you to any coach excursions you go on and you can get to the bus before the rabble and get your choice of seats

3)Make good use of the laundry offer (if it's available) 25 euros for 30 items which can be sent in small batchs until you reach the 30.. They have to go by 10:00 and are back within 24 hrs. Ours always came back the same day before 6:00pm.

4) you get complimentary use of the thermal room in the Spa , we didn't use it but those that did said it was great.

5) Don't be afraid to ask your butler or the concierge for anything, they'll probable get it for you.

6) Ask to have a couple of there shoe bags to take home they're fabulous and keep your dirty shoes away from your clothes in the suitcase.

Just in case you haven't read it ( it's posted on another thread somewhere), My review of the cruise I did in the yacht club can be found on this link, loads of photos + 2 short videos and a link at the very bottom to a lot more photos from around the ship.

Hope you look at it and find it interesting/useful

I took 372 photos in the ship out of a total of 748 photos during the cruise. My other half took 178 photos off the ship. The joy of digital photgraphy

So you'll have to go some to match that

I really like them - the only problems is the lack of a balcony (but realistically if I use a balcony 10% of the time it is a lot) and the fact that they are not in teh YC complex itself (but this does enable you to entertain easily and without issue).

This is of 12002 - the smallest of the YC2 cabins:

Thank you very much All Aboard for posting the pictures from the YC2 category, The cabin is lovely and the nice colours make a intimate and cozy atmosphere. This cabin is perfect for a TA crossing and the view is amazing:) BTW, I like the interior colours on MSC Fantasia better than MSC Divina as they are darker.

Its a pleasure Norwegian. I see Yacht Club is going to pretty full on the re-positioning so I am hoping that they will do a King Neptune ceremony just for us - but realistically I think I will need to venture down town for that moment in history :(
