LzyCruiser_NWA Posted January 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Hi all. Hoping to find some answers after searching and having no luck. We've booked the dolphin & lunch excursion @ Chankanaab thru Carnival so with that I'm guessing the ride there will be provided by Carnival? During the dolphin encounter, I plan to have my own waterproof camera, is that allowed? We booked the first available slot 9ish to 12ish, so I'm guessing there's time afterward for snorkeling at Chankanaab provided that we rent the snorkel gear from them? Also are there locked storage for us to store our wallets, cameras etc? What kind of facilities are there in terms of showers or wash down station for the salt water? Since we're staying after our excursion, we have to pay for our own taxi ride back? (Which is fine with me) or do they give you some kind of tickets to catch a ride back since we came with Carnival? Thank you in advance for all the answers.
Canadian Tyler Posted January 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2013 I'll answer the part I can. I was there last week for the dolphin encounter (loved it) and there are free lockers and showers available.
arlodog Posted January 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2013 I don't believe you can use your own waterproof camera with the dolphins. They have a photographer and will want you to buy theirs--also, you are too busy to take photos. It is a small group and you keep moving fairly fast to get all the activities in. You can bring your own snorkel gear (I think) or it is available to rent. You can walk right in and snorkel from the beach. Lots of fish! As was previously posted there are lockers and showers available. You will have to ask Carnival if they will give you a taxi voucher. There will be lots of taxis available when you want to leave. No worries! Have a great time!
