Just Been Upgraded on Caribbean Princess

I just got notice that I have been upgraded from category BE to BC, is this a good upgrade?
Same cabin, different location. Depending on the deck you're on and without knowing the cabin #, can't tell whether that's good or bad. If you're on Aloha deck, there are cabins above you and it'll be pretty quiet. If you're on Riviera deck, there's open, public deck if your cabin is towards the aft, Lido cabins above you if you're forward. I don't like being under public deck because of the noise: loungers being moved, power washing very early in the morning, people walking or running, etc.

Yep. Agree with Pam. Check out the deck plans and see if you like the new "upgraded" room. Sometimes it doesn't pay to get excited about upgrades. If you just got it, you might want to call... asap... and refuse it if it looks like a poorer selection than what you had picked out.

If you are happy then it is an upgrade!

As the others have said above, most cabins in a catagory have layouts that are the same. The location on the ship is the difference.

If you had a cabin assignment and this location makes you happier, then it is an upgrade. We all like different locations for different reasons.

Sorry, it's A317, got to put those reading glasses on!

What room did you have before?

A317 is forward. You have staterooms above and below you so noise should not be an issue. We prefer middle to aft locations but that is personal preference. It totally depends on your preferences.

If you are not happy with it call asap to see if they can change it.
