10 day itinerary

We just booked the 10 day itinerary that included Fakarava and Raingiroa but was surprised the itinerary said the ship departs at 10pm. I believe the travel consultant also said the flight from LAX didn't arrive until late that same evening and we would go straight to the ship from the airport. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the flight from LAX depart earlier that same day? I had expected an overnight flight.

Many people indeed go right to the ship from the airport. I think this is a mistake - get there a few days early, relax and acclimate yourself!

This is standard. We upgraded out flight through our TA to leave at midnight the night before out of LAX since we had already been to Tahiti. We arrived at Papeete at 5am, and had booked a day room just up the street from where the PG docks. We slept a bit, worked out, showered, shopped at the market, etc. We were able to board right at three and enjoy the entire day. Very worth it.

Yes it does say 10 pm but I've been on board when we left at 12:30 am. They know what flight you are on so don't worry.

 

Huahine is the first stop and the ship can make it there in 8 hours if they throttle her up.
