takevtr1 Posted February 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2013 I made a deposit on a cruise for 8/4 on the Valor this past Sunday. I used a travel agent as I always do. Of course I have been checking the prices online everyday, sometime two or three times a day. Well today I found a price drop of $30 pp for the exact same cat and rate. My issue is, my TA is off until Sunday. Can I file for the price drop online via carnival web site or can only my TA do it for me??? Since I have not made final payment yet, not until May, will I get a OBC or a reduction in final payment. I know that my luck would not hold out until Sun and assume that by Sun the price will go back up. THANKS !!!!!:)
tandemcruzr Posted February 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2013 Technically, I think the TA has to do it. But, It wouldn't hurt if you went ahead and submitted the form. Before final payment will be a reduction in the amount owed. OBC would be after final payment. Here's the form -- http://www.carnival.com/BonVoyage/requestforms/cclearlysaverform.aspx
CruisingSoon88 Posted February 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2013 Unfortunately you can't file this yourself. There are two different price protection forms. One is for the general public and the other is for travel agents. If you booked through a TA, they have to file their form for you. Hopefully the price will stick around until Sunday. If approved, you should have your final payment reduced. Good luck!

takevtr1 Posted February 1, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted February 1, 2013 thanks for the quick replies. I will be sending an e-mail to my TA right now and calling her phone first thing on Sunday morning. Let's hope for the best even if it only dropped $30pp -
