Hotel between Hobby and Galveston

Looking for a nice hotel area between Hobby and Galveston. Arriving during Spring Break and would like to avoid the expensive rates in Galveston for one night. Will be renting a car but would like to avoid going in the opposite direction towards the City of Houston to find a nice hotel with restaurants in the area.

Lots of nice places to stay with nice restaurants and shopping in Webster, all right off I-45. Also plenty of places (heading further south) in League City and Texas City. I prefer the area around Webster myself as I live not far from there. It's about 10-15 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic, then another 30 minutes to Galveston.
