Cabin 5236 QM2 1/3-1/10 2013

I'm just curious, not complaining, but I wonder what the noise was that I heard the first evening on board and seemed to have gotten used to by the 3rd or 4th night. It was like the sound of air in heating system pipes, kind of like a toilet flushing. It was intermittent. When I first heard it I thought "uh-oh, this could be a problem". I looked on a deck plan but didn't see anything that could have been responsible indicated on the plan. I wondered if it was noise of the water outside the boat, i.e. the wake, as this cabin was towards the back of the boat. No other unwelcome noises around me from either above or below I think the cabins around mine must have been empty. I rarely saw other passengers.
