Petros Tour Athens

I wanted to know of those who have used Petros for a tour in Athens. I've been trying to set up a tour with him and have gotten a response, but now I'm trying to firm up the reservation and he doesn't seem to get back to his emails right away. I'm a little concerned since our trip is in 4 weeks. Thanks for any input.

I tried sending him email several times a few weeks ago requesting information for our July visit to Athens and he never responded, even to say he was booked. I booked elsewhere.

I tried to get Petros for a tour and no luck, no response. I went ahead and booked another guide. We are using Spiros. Peg

We just had Spiros as our guide this month and we were very please with him. We had a great time and he is very knowledgeable and proud of his county. He is patient and flexable to your needs and wants, and we packed in a full 10 hours of siteseeing. He did a great job. ENJOY!

He asked me to let everyone know that he is still doing tours. I told him that he was loosing alot of business because people have been unable to get in contact with him. He was realy very very nice on the phone and I have booked a tour with him for 2005. He was also a little less expensive that both Spiros and George the taxi driver.

I too, had problems getting in touch with petros, and that was last summer, preparing for my trip in September, so this problem is not a new one. I ended up finding George the taxi driver. While he was booked, he found a substitute for me who was waiting at my hotel after we embarked the ship. You can do a google for George, and e-mail him for prices. I forget the address.

what a shame to read this. We used Petros last summer and he's just so delightful, I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. If you can still reach him, do it, you won't regret it.

We are using George the Famous Taxi Driver in Athens on June 27. I hope he is as good as he sounds. His website is greecetravel.com.

I second what Marilyn said. We used Petros is 2001. Try his direct email, instead of the link from the website.
