rkmom Posted June 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2005 We just found out the port time was extended to 10 pm. We had been planning to go to Dzul Ha then maybe a beach to relax, like Paradise Beach, then head back to boat, which was leaving at 6. Now, I have to rethink plans. Are shops open later? How about the mini golf? Do you have other suggestions? Thanks! Kim
kjunea Posted June 6, 2005 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2005 I once went to a native folk dance presentation that was very good while in Coz on a cruise. But then, I'm an artsy kindof gal. And they gave you two of the strongest margaritas I've ever had in my life! June
ScubaMare Posted June 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Cozumel Mini Golf is always fun in the evening, with or without kids. Their course is BEAUTIFUL -- like a little jungle right in the middle of town. They give you walkie-talkies so you can order drinks from the hole you're playing and a waiter will bring them to you. Lots of fun! http://www.geocities.com/smallsal/minigolf/
Rare 01Sweetpea Posted June 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2005 We are on the same cruise and Kim, and mini-golf sould like a great idea for an early evening thing to do.

Rare 01Sweetpea Posted June 7, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Sally... thanks for the link.... the only thing I don't see is the price... any idea how much it costs to play?
CozSally Posted June 7, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 7, 2005 It's $7 for adults, $5 for children 11 and under. Beer and sangria are $2, soft drinks are $1. All prices in U.S. dollars. Have a great time!

solita Posted June 8, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 8, 2005 Yes, the shops stay open usually as long as the ships are here. Okay, here's a thought...maybe the movies. We have a great cinema right behind Chedraui grocery store. It is on the second floor of the mini mall. Price is cheap - between $25 and 40 pesos depending on what time you go. The theater is the nicest one I've been in even in the states. The carmel popcorn is worth the trip alone! Most of the movies are in English with spanish subtitles except the cartoon ones....they are all in spanish. This is always a great idea to keep in mind on those rainy afternoons in port too. Zeke3 Posted June 8, 2005 #10 Share Posted June 8, 2005 I was going to post this very questions. Great ideas! I love Cozumel and I think we are going to skip formal night on the Miracle to enjoy the port.
kjunea Posted June 8, 2005 #11 Share Posted June 8, 2005 I think they are changing formal night to Thursday night instead of Friday. Terry will post about it this week on the Carnival board. That way, you won't miss the "Big Meal" and can still eat out on Coz if you want. And I would guess they will still do the Gala Buffet on Friday night, so you can see/eat it after you get back from Coz. June
