Looking for some advice on booking Magic

My husband and I are in our mid-twenties with no kids. We are looking for a cruise to book this coming May. Together we have been on two Holland America cruises and the NCL Epic. I have been on many more Holland America cruises growing up as well as a Royal Caribbean and Carnival. We enjoy Holland America, but we are not really in their prefered age range really. The Epic was fun, but we felt like they nickled and dimed us for every little thing. I was young on Royal Caribbean, but I did enjoy it. My first cruise was with Carnival when I was 12 or 13. My memory of it was that it was not fun. My little and sister and I were stuck at a table with older people who had no idea how to have a conversation with kids. We felt like there was nothing for us to do other than the kids club, which was not fun for either of us. Now that I am older, I am thinking of giving Carnival another chance. We were looking at booking the Magic, but I am still a little hesitant. We have the money to book the RC Allure, but we feel like we would get more out of the Magic. Another option we are looking at is a Celebrity cruise to Alaska, as we live in Seattle and would not need to pay for airfare. It would cost about the same price. I guess what I am looking for is people who have been cruising for a long time with Carnival to tell me that they have added more "fun" things to the ships. Either that or someone else in their mid-twenties who has some advice about Carnival. We are not huge partiers. We don't like to dance and drink and stay out all night. We enjoy relaxing by the pool, possibly with a beer, or doing "stuff" and staying active. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I rambled. I have a tendency of doing that.

Carnival Magic has lots to offer. There are great production shows in the main lounge, including a magic show one evening, comedy shows, karaoke, and other live entertainment up and down Promenade deck. There's a large casino onboard as well as specialty bars and restaurants, like the Red Frog Pub, which has a really great Thirsty Frog Red beer. There is a steakhouse restaurant and an italian restaurant, which offer specialty dining in the evening at an extra price. The italian restaurant, however, is included in your fare at lunch and the food there is wonderful. If you like sports, Carnival Magic has a full court outdoor basketball/volleyball setup. Near it are other outdoor amenities at the Sports Square, where they have mini golf, foosball, billiards, and a ropes course. In the spa, there is a complete gym with all kinds of aerobic exercise equipment. Around the pool there are a large number of loungers for sunning. The big screen outdoors features movies at night and on some evenings deck parties have everyone rocking. Depending on itenerary, you go to exotic carribean locals for more fun and shopping.

My wife and I have cruised on several different cruise lines and we always keep coming back to Carnival for fun and value. If you have not been on Carnival in a while you need to give them a shot they have changed the atmosphere a lot just in the past ten years. Which ever you decide good luck and have fun.... I have never been on a bad cruise.
