Bringing on bottled water/canned soda

Do people commonly bring their own case of water or soda or would we look out of place doing that? Cruising from our home port this week so easy to do it if we want. Thanks.

People do it all the time. If you look at some posts you will see many about that subject.

My family and took a case of water when we went on our cruise with Carnival (2008), and this year in November, my husband and I will be taking a case of water with us on NCL. We do plan on buying the soda package, because it's worth it for us, but I do not want to pay for bottled water! If I am correct, you don't pay for the sodas at dinner in the Main Dining Room (MDR). Have fun.

There are no free sodas on NCL ships - in any of the dining rooms. Soda always has to be purchased, either with the soda card or individually.

It's done all the time. Keep in mind the water on the ship is probably more pure than bottled water. The Jewel class of ships have 3 evaporators and 1 reverse osmosis plant that produce very pure water.

The most I have ever seen was last summer on the Dawn. There were cases bought at Sams Club or Costco of bottled water, soft drinks. NCL only serves Pepsi products.
