Falmouth - Chukka Beach - thru ship or own your own?

Q: What's the advantage of paying $29 to the cruise to Chukka Beach?

 

For a family of 4, that's almost $120.

 

vs. taking a taxi or shuttle bus for the 10 minute ride to the beach?

NavyCruiser - I was wondering that myself. Something I read made it sound that it is the only way to get access (RC owned and wants to keep it private?)

At most ports, there's plenty of taxis or tour buses/shuttles. Anyone knows how much they charge per person or per trip?

Curious about this as well, want to go to a beach but price creeping up if using an excursion from the boat.

I will be on the Independence leaving this Sunday 2/24. Just went to book this excursion and saw that it leaves at 7:30 am! Forget that.......think I will do Red Stripe Beach (can leave at 9:30) or wait til we get to port.

From what I've read, the Chukuka Beach Break is only accessible through the cruise line. You'll probably have to find another beach if you want to go on your own.

Hi, well we've got 3 boys all grown up now. 24, 22 and 19. All 3 were big babies (8-10 pounds) and the middle one was born 3 weeks after my due date. So I have some idea of how you must be feeling. It will all be worth it when you see his little face and hold his little hands. I remember that feeling even now and wish you, your husband and little man all the love, luck and good health in the world. X now Get pushing! Lol
