Viking Basel to Amsterdam

Does it really not matter which side of the ship you are on? It seems reasonable to me that the right side will have the best views. I was thinking that most of the castles are on the right side. Is this correct? Thanks.

You'll either be on the top deck or in the lounge and have views of both sides. If you are in your cabin you will only see one side and miss the other unless you opt for one of the large suites on the longship.

I didn't notice that one side of the Rhine had more castles than the other. As the previous poster said, you'll either be in the lounge or up on the top deck. As cold as it was when we went, we were up on the top deck along with many other passgengers enjoying the views with our hot coffee or hot chocolate.
