Rare peanutzmom Posted February 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2013 We will be on the Freedom in a few weeks, and the "Spring Ahead" Daylight Savings Time change will take place while we're onboard. I'm assuming the ship time will spring ahead as well, to stay on EST, correct? I'm trying to plan some shore excursions in ports that *don't* observe DST (for example, Tortola), and I'm trying to figure out what times we'll actually be in port..... droy Posted February 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2013 I like this site for checking port vs ship time http://www.cozumel-watersports.com/excursions/page1.html
gargoyle999 Posted February 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2013 I've been on a cruise for both spring ahead and fall back and yes the ship will adjust the time by one hour. It's better to be on a cruise during the fall back. :D
teddygurl28 Posted February 16, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2013 I was on a cruise during the march time change and we actually didn't change the clocks on the ship until our last night as we were pulling back into Fort Lauderdale. This was an 8 day on the miracle. It may be tough to determine what the ship will do until you are on it
