Scooter in Nassau, Bahamas

We were in Nassau last May. I took my scooter (travelscoot) off the ship and after exiting the dock area took a van type taxi to the Ardasta (sp?) zoo. We enjoyed our day. It is a bit of a "walk" from the ship to the taxi area and I was quite happy to have the scooter there and also at the zoo.

We will be sailing on the Allure on 11/10/13, stopping in Nassau from 7 to 3. Is it possible to take the scooter off the ship and see anything, or must I look for an accessible taxi or tour?

I have used my scooter there several times. Please be careful, though. The traffic is dangerous and some of the sidewalks have a little slope to them.

Hope you enjoy your cruise!
