snackyx Posted February 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2013 When booking a cruise when "early bird" fares are first published, is there any advantage to booking directly with the cruise line vs. one of the many resellers? Is it fair to assume that the "incentives" that I see offered (onboard credit, prepaid gratuaties, etc.) are typically not available when early booking? Are these incentives any better through resellers than the cruise line directly?
Rare LHT28 Posted February 17, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2013 I think it may depend on the cruise line & who is offering the OBCs Our cruise line of choice has some sailings that offer prepaid gratuities etc.. for a limited time period
Taxguy77 Posted February 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2013 Priced one cruise with line directly, and with reseller. With reseller we got 2 nights hotel, taxi, not bus, right away to hotel, tour of Barcelona and an onboard representative for the same as a bare cruise with the line. We used the Co. for several outstanding trips in the years following. Sorry I can't mention the Boston based Co. on CC.
