Best Luggage ID for ease of locating at disembarkation

Teach on ships and have always purchased bathtub non slip stickons and slap them all over my luggage. They are white or colored but since they are made to stick to the bottom tubs and showers and are resistant to water, trust me, they never come off.

Although my husband and I have cruised several times, we're always looking for creative ways to help identify luggage at the disembarkation port. It seems like everybody has black luggage - as do we - and we're looking for a great way to spot our bags quickly! Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

 

we use white bandanas with colored stars. but we are also one of the last ones off the ship so not many bags left by the time we debark! ;)

We painted our initials in big capital letters on both front and back of the suitcases...then put the word MINE below our initials...also have luggage tags that are huge with a blue sailboat on them, AND colored ribbon around the handles....LOL Never had a problem...but got a few laughs when people saw the word MINE on the suitcase!

I use duct tape on hard sided luggage and on the botton (wheels end) of fabric luggage.

 

My own opinion is the worse your luggage actually looks, the less likely it is to be stolen.

I have a silver Sharpie that I use to write on black luggage. Generally some sort of geometric design (I'm no artist!). It doesn't come off like tape or decals can.
