We were there last week and used Hire a Driver for the Day. They will take you anywhere you want to go. We stopped at a local market to fill up the provided cooler, a little history in downtown, a drive through the local neighborhoods, off to the East side of the island for the scenic beauty, lunch at Playa Bonita (yum), snorkeling at Playa Corona, and a final stop at Mr. Sanchos. We had a wonderful day and I would definitely use them again. Our driver was Alberto, and he was awesome!

Smurphy, could you provide more details of your experience? Specifically, how many people in your group (we have 10), cost of your day, time spent?

Thx!

We were in Cozumel Wed, April 3. Group of 4 ladies ages 22, 40, 52, 60. We booked the dune buggy tour. It was GREAT! Our guide was Santiago. He was friendly and fun. We all agreed that we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Easy to book and paid balance when we arrived. Took a taxi for $11 to the meeting place. Took dune buggy back to pier with about 45 min before sailing. Santiago assured us all day that we would be back to ship in plenty of time. We were grouped with a family of 4 and another couple. It was our best day.

So glad I found this post. We are looking at this very tour through Island Marketing in November (is that who you booked through?). We used Island Marketing previously in St. Maarten and it was, by far, the best (and probably least expensive) shore excursion we've ever done. I was hoping to hear more good things about them. :)
