Crown Room Service

someone must be able to answer my question, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steph8564,

We only ordered continental breakfast every day. Once, in the evening, we did order the individual pizzas. Pretty good. Heard somewhere that this was the best item on the menu. Not too many choices.

Since the N. Crown only offers a late night snack -- either in the Disco and the Casino -- room service might serve as an alternative choice.

As part of a gift (Anniv Pkg) we got 'Breakfst in Bed' There was a special menu card to order from. For the 2 of us we order juice, strawberries in cream, DH- French Toast, Me- Omelet w/cheese & 'shrooms, 2 orders of bacon, 1 order of hashbrowns. The waiter delivered (on time) but said he'd be back w/the strawberries. We opened the containers and found 2 omelets w/ cheese (no 'shrooms), NO BACON, NO French toast. When he returned I tried explaining the mix up. The poor guy had a lot of trouble understanding english. But finally left to get it corrected. He returned w F.Toast and 2 orders of bacon, left & then I saw...NO SYRUP. I caught him in the hallway and he apologized & said he'd be right back. It took him at least 10 minutes to come back. By then everything was cold and not very enjoyable. Our experience wasn't positive.

I hope the Crown is up to par with everything. We have a group sailing June 25th, 2006... and I dont want them disappointed. This will be cruise #27 for me.... hope it lives up to my expectations. It better for the premium they charge out of NYC.

Unless you are in a suite, the room service menu is limited. The Crown is an older ship in good condition but it is not the Dawn or a Voyager class ship. If you expect that you will be in for an unhappy trip. Remember this is also a trip to Bermuda. I loved the Crown but also had an owners suite. If some of your party has such a suite you can use the deck etc. If the ship is full the pool area will be crowded. For such a large group I suggest you see the Maitre D and make arrangements to eat. Its a good crew and a nice ship enjoy it.

From what I remember from last week the room service menu had several choices of sandwiches and pizzas, along with some desserts. It was not the full lunch menu from the restaurant. We only used room service for breakfast and one for a late night snack. Service was pretty quick. Hope that helps.
