Pacific Princess

I'm going with a friend on the Pacific Princess from Capetown to Sydney this summer. Has anyone made this trip and can they offer suggestions? How is exercise on the ship? We've heard they offer Pilates. Any information can help. We're doing a five day safari (this is the trip of a lifetime) before we leave --- any clothing suggestions? What do you do with valuables while on the safari? Is it safe in Capetown?

We are on the PP Bangkok to Cape Town to Sydney. I started a post on Roll Call but found very few going to Sydney. The BKK to CPT is sold out.

The PP has a nice but small gym in the front of the ship deck 10. I don't know what they offer.

Have fun in S Africa. We are leaving the ship in Durban to fly to Cape Town for four days and will rejoin the ship in Cape Town. The PP is very nice.You will have a nice time.

When do you leave Capetown? I think our sailing is 9/10. How long is your cruise since it includes Bankok?

 

We've heard that this cruise is not full -- someone should get a good deal at the end.

The Pacific Princess (new) is a great little ship. We enjoyed our cruise on her, Tahiti to Sydney, 11-03.

The Pacific Princess is a wonderful ship. We were on for 36 days last summer - Honolulu to Papeete (12 days) then Papeete to Ft Lauderdale (24 days). On July 24th we depart for Beijing for another 46 days on the Pacific (we get off on Sept. 10th) and we're also looking to book a 53 day for 2007.
