DanieleBelle Posted February 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2013 Hello, I'm new to Disney and want to get the very best deal. Is the standard room rate the same for all travel sites/TAs? I know each can sweeten the deal with OBC or prepaid gratuities but is the actual rate the same or are there discounts to be found? I feel like I'm spinning my wheels with all the searching. Thanks. Everywhere the price is the same but some TAs give you on board credits to use on the ship which overall reduces the rate, ie they give you part of their commission back, Look for specialist DCL travel agents, search for that, and then see what OBCs they offer you, its not all about OBC, TAs also give you a lot of support and guidance. There are some 'old wives tales' re loosing control on reservations, with a TA but this just isint true, you can still book shore trips and specialist meals direct, and make payments when you want via your TA to DCL. TifffanyD Posted February 28, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2013 DCL prices increase as the cabins sell, but sometimes a TA will have group spacing locked in at an earlier rate. This is the only way you will find a lower cruisefare...
jcearth Posted March 1, 2013 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2013 Also, the very best way to get a deal is to be a Florida resident - watch out for the periodic Florida resident rates that Disney will announce from time to time (these are the only times that I have seen prices go below $100 pp per night for the newer ships). Check websites like mousesavers or disboards for announcements of the latest deals.
