eminence_front Posted June 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2005 I'm not a drinker; however, at a wine tasting in Branson, of all the wines we got to taste (and I'm talking about 20 kinds), rose' was the only kind I liked. Also, where in Cozumel or Costa Maya do they offer pina coladas in a pineapple? I may indulge in one of those as well. In addition, do you get to eat the pineapple? Rose wine has run the gamut from being very cool and hip in the 1960s & 1970s to uncool in the 1980s (Zinfandel was big then), impossible to find in the 1990s, and now very much 'in' again. The most popular type of rose is rose Champagne. It can be pretty expensive. I'd ask your wine sommelier when you get on board. Search him out and ask him about the wines they carry; he may even give you a mini tasting. Keep in mind a cruise ship isn't the best place to order good wine because of the movement of the ship.
