Found a United SuperSaver Award

I have United Miles that I wanted to use and found a flight with Lufthansa from Rome-San Francisco for 30,000 miles +$75 in taxes. The flight times are great since I will be in Rome for a week the flight leaves at 12:05 PM Rome Time with a 2 hour layover in Munich before arriving San Francisco at 7:00PM.

 

The same flights were going for $2,500 per person or 50,000 miles. I looked at ChoiceAir but was not too keen on flying Alitalia. My Father booked on them for $580 one way but when I saw Alitalia I had second thoughts but hey if my Father wants that flight I'm not bashing him. He goes through LAX(which I want to avoid as you have to walk outside or wait for the shuttle to the next terminal).

 

It pays to use your miles when and if you can.
