rebeccalouiseagain Posted March 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2013 There are a few "yacht's" that tie up in the Castello area of Venice- in the Basin. In any event- I think it would be fun to rent a boat or yacht in Venice. I haven't done it but it would certainly be an experience. http://www.venere.com/bandb/venice/bandb-sarah-cruise/
kuldalai Posted March 3, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2013 I would think it might well be fun, BUT me thinks you would need very deep pockets. Anything that floats in Venezia other than the Vaporettos is usually as dear as poison !!! Water taxis - stratospheric rates, gondola rides - very pricey too, private boat transfers to San Marco or the Airport, you virtually need to take out a loan ! baja mama Posted March 3, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted March 3, 2013 We found one called the Sarah Sun Island and it is not that expensive, but it stays docked while we are on it. The reviews are good, but they state the cabins are very small which is true with most ships. I think we will book it for the experience.
