i know this want effect a lot of people because I have seen over and over these are not favorite ports. Sadly we do like this trip. I think for my husband it is the casinos in Bahamas. He doesn't get enough gambling on the ship and has to do more.

I am not seeing anymore scheduled trips out of new Orleans past December 1st, 2013. Has anyone heard anything on this.

We have this cruise booked for may of this year.might need to savor this trip.

Most of the 2014 schedule hasn't been published yet. Carnival did recently sign a contract to keep two ships based in New Orleans until at least 2016, so I would expect the rest of 2014 to be released sometime in the near future. We won't know what ports will be available until then.

Very interesting development. I am on that last cruise and chose that date because of that itinerary. I also checked the CCL web site and discovered that the Sunshine will not be sailing to KW and the Bahamas after December 1 - at least no cruises through April 2014.

Hi, All,

We are booked on the March 2, 2014 sailing of Sunshine, which at the time of booking (and on the posted itinerary today on our reservation) showed/shows both K.W. and Freeport and Nassau).

Realizing fully Carnival always reserves the right to 'change itinerary and port of call', it will be interesting to see if the itinerary is being changed, and if so, what the alternative ports of call might be.

So long as the 'region' is not changed, we'll be happy. Just don't know that I can do another Cozumel stop without a diversion.

Thanks for the 'heads up' and we'll see how the 'ship floats' over the next few months.:)

Sarg........ you IN New Orleans or just NEAR New Orleans??

You are correct. Schedule is out for 2014 for new Orleans. To do the key west/Bahamas would upset the apple cart big time.(since schedule is out)

We are platinum but mainly sail carnival for this itinerary. 2nd fav is roatan, Belize ,Cozumel we can usually get that one cheaper thru ncl and they add a port to it (costa Maya)

I think I will check Galveston to see if it has dropped KW/Bahamas also. Then I would say hum!

Born and raised in New Orleans. Now, when not on a cruise ship, it seems like mostly a nomad.

Most of the 2014 schedule from New Orleans still is not out, but it would appear KW sailings on Carnival (Royal is another choice), currently are:

Jan 5, Feb 2, Mar 2, April 6,
