gapearl Posted March 7, 2013 Author #151 Share Posted March 7, 2013 I hung out on the promenade until it was time for the muster drill. And now the fun begins! A few pictures before the sailaway party.
gapearl Posted March 7, 2013 Author #152 Share Posted March 7, 2013 We did the typical line dances- electric slide, cha cha slide, cupid shuffle, Macarena/chicken dance, YMCA, wobble, and the newest craze Gangnam Style. These kids went up on stage for Gangnam Style. My 11 year old nephew would have had so much fun up there with them. He's really good at that dance. Back to my room for a bit before heading to the disco. OMG I finally got the infamous towel va-jay-jay.
Noreno Posted March 7, 2013 #153 Share Posted March 7, 2013 i received a couple of requests to get pictures of some cabins. This is for incharge. This is #9201, scenic ocean view. gapearl Posted March 7, 2013 Author #154 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Carnival is definitely trying to take the nightclubs on the ships to a different level. At least that's how it appeared on the Valor. I noticed a lot of differences. There was a red carpet. Drink servers were pretty girls wearing a fitted vest, not the typical guys you see from the pool or MDR. There were two awesome DJs, not just one. Throughout the week, I got to chat with them quite a bit. Oftentimes, one would stay in the DJ booth and the other would come out and work the crowd. DJ Kaos and DJ Aurelius were great! I arrived at One Small Step around 12:15 am. The red carpet. Me making my grand entrance. No fancy dress tonight, but I get points for the shirt. WOO HOO! Time to party!!!! Well, maybe not. First night and it was DEAD. I don't think there were more than 12 of us in there. the DJs played top 40 until they got some requests for reggae. After that, it was reggae and reggaeton all night. Despite there only being a few of us in there, this was one of my most fun nights ever in the disco. I don't remember what this was, but it was pretty and matched my earrings. LOL The 12 of us shut it down around 3 am. Next installment: I got sunburned!

Leo's Rule Posted March 7, 2013 #157 Share Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Which of these 3 is your favorite? The middle one is my favorite!!!!!!!! Edit: The last picture seems muted and doesn't reflect the beauty of the water. The first one is pretty, but whatever setting you used on the 2nd picture just made it pop! reerun25 Posted March 7, 2013 #159 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Just curious, how were you able to get pictures of the other two cabins that you were not staying in? Love the review so far!
groundhog59 Posted March 7, 2013 #160 Share Posted March 7, 2013 I had all of those the first night as well. Oh how I wish I were back there! Gazpacho. Chicken a la grecque. I say this all the time! The ONLY way to eat warm chocolate melting cake is with TWO ice creams! Maybe even three!!! :p Everything was delicious. We had a table by a window and saw the Something of the Seas leave port. There she goes, off to some beautiful, exotic destination.

ree1009 Posted March 7, 2013 #164 Share Posted March 7, 2013 Take me with you! Your cruise is a week before my birthday! Best itinerary ever. You're going to have a blast. Happy honeymoon to you fellow peach! :) Be careful. There are so many beautiful, romantic places, you might come back as a family of 3. Haha! Thank you! I can't wait. We were in PR in May and all I can say is AMEN sista!! What were we thinking?? I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. The a/c on our tour bus wasnt working. It was miserable. But it is such a pretty place can't wait to do more sight seeing when we get off the big boat! Loving review!

INCHARGE Posted March 7, 2013 #166 Share Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Woooowwww!!!! What category is this?!?!?! Hi. It is a 6K. There are 2 on the Lido desk. There are about 4-5 in between these that are 6J. Many times these 6ks do not show up on the website. I called and got mine, because it wasn't even showing as being available. They are called Scenic Ocean View cabins. I so appreciate gapearl taking time out of her fun to do this for me. Where do you think everyone was, in bed already? I am a night owl, so I will be looking for the late night fun.
