Can you leave an RCI excursion part way through?

My mom and I are going to take the Paradise Island and Sightseeing Tour in Nassau. It ends with a photo stop at the Atlantis resort and I was wondering if we could just tell the person doing the tour that we'll make it back the ship on our own.

 

I'd like to go to the beach and then take the water taxi back. Would this be possible to do? We've never done a ship sponsored tour before.

Yes, there shouldn't be any problem doing that, as long as you let the tour operator know, so they aren't looking for you.

You sure can. We have left tours that end at a resort for a beach break before. We just told the tour guide and took a taxi back to the ship.

On Nevis (RCCL tour) when they went to the beach I took a cab into town. No problem at all. Communication is the key.
