Yes. I did that on my last Carnival cruise. Its no problem.

it might be easier to make 2 separate payments instead of one big payment

 

When you pay online, you can the enter the amount you want to pay

I've been paying for my cruise on line and have used different credit cards to make payment I haven't done two cards on the same day but it seems like they should be able to split it

I just made two payments using 2 different cards - no problem - just change amount to pay for each card.
