Carnival Magic Cloud 9 Spa Cabins

We are looking at booking on the Carnival Magic in one of the Cloud 9 Spa cabins.

Any idea what they mean by "All Cloud 9 Spa accommodations feature private spa access, special amenities and priority spa reservations." I understand this is not for facials and treatments and the such.

Any information will be a GREAT help! :)

We had an inside spa cabin on the Splendor a few years back. We got unlimited access to the big whirlpool and the wet and dry saunas. We really enjoyed that! Also got the use of nice robes to wear to and from. Cabin had better linens and such. Didn't do any facias or massages.

We stayed on the Carnival Magic in 2011 and really wished we could have picked the Spa Staterooms/cabins but sadly all were sold out by the time we came to book. Probably out of all the facilities onboard we enjoyed the spa facilities the most and being in the Spa staterooms would have made it much nicer. We would often skip the evening shows (which were nothing to write home about) and go to the Spa for a soak in the pool instead.

Your rooms are almost in a separate zone at the front of the ship, connected directly to the "Serenity lounge" (I think it was called), a nice, quiet chilled out sofa area with tea (but only lemon, no milk!) and water and then through here you can access the sauna/heated beds/whirlpool/treatment rooms. By default you will get access to these facilities with your stateroom, whereas the rest of us had to buy access and wear an armband. Keep an eye out for people that have managed to gain entry when the reception was not manned and are not wearing an arm band - unless they have changed this since we went, we found this very annoying to have paid quite a high price for access when others just walked in without being questioned or charged.

As for treatments, I'm not sure, you might receive a discount off these - we only tried the custom aromatherapy sea salt scrub as the prices for everything else were very high!

I hope you enjoy it, you'll certainly find it a relaxing way to end a day after travelling about.

you will not get spa treatments for free.

these staterooms gives you private access to the spa, extra spa amenities, and unlimited access to the Thalassotherapy pool, the Thermal suite - these are free.

other people on the ship will have to pay for the use
