Tharper Posted April 25, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2004 We are sailing on the Mariner of the seas May 16th and booked a tour with Godfrey for our visit to St Thomas. We are travelling with 6 adults and a 21mos old. Which beach do you think is the best to visit? Which has the best sand and water? Tess Carnival Paradise RC Majesty of the Seas. NorfolkSailor Posted April 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 You'll very likely enjoy Megan's Beach - one of the nicest coves on the island and great sand! -Kevin Maasdam 11/30/

smiller Posted May 16, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 16, 2004 Are there taxis at Megans bay to return to the ship?
The Islander Posted May 18, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Hello Smiller, Yes there is a taxi stand at Magens Bay right accross from the entrance booth area. Just walk up to where the drivers are sitting and you will get a taxi back to the ship. --Islander For more information on the Virgin Islands visit http://www.VInow.com the best guide to St. Thomas, St. Croix, St. John and Water Island. indygirl2 Posted May 19, 2004 #9 Share Posted May 19, 2004 For Magen's bay the cost is $3 pp. The bathrooms are nice and you can go farther down the beach away from the buildings and be pretty secluded. Coki beach is free and also nice... but smaller and more crowded and the bathrooms are not good. Boo's Mom Posted June 30, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Tharper..... I was at Megan's Bay in December 2003. I was not impressed. The beach was very crowded...and there was pieces of "stuff" all in the sand. If I were to return to St Thomas...I would not be going there. Just another opinion. kathyjack Posted July 20, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 20, 2004 We have been to Megan's Bay many times and we love it! It's a nice big bay with very soft rolling waves. The beach is quite large and beautiful. You can buy drinks and food there. I'd highly recommend it.
