crazydavid18 Posted March 10, 2013 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2013 I am curious about the match play. I understand the overall concept, and that when you purchase one of the Classic Cocktails you are able to take your receipt to the casino cashier for a match play coupon. However, I have heard that people have gotten them for other drinks as well, but it is hit and miss. Will my receipt tell me it is valid for a match play coupon or do I just have to know? Thanks for the info! This would greatly help my casino play as my wife likes her drinks and I love roullette! ;)
pops72106 Posted March 10, 2013 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2013 It has to come from the casino bar and be one of the classic cocktails
allison0523 Posted March 10, 2013 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2013 It has to come from the casino bar and be one of the classic cocktails Not true. We bought drinks at the comedy club and received a match play stamp for them. The bartender stamps the receipt with a stamp that says $5 matchplay good tonight only. Then you can take that to the casino and match your $5 bet. Good luck!
DallasGuy75219 Posted March 10, 2013 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2013 It has to come from the casino bar and be one of the classic cocktails You can buy the classic cocktails at any bar on the ship and trade the receipts for match play coupons at the cage. SadieN Posted March 10, 2013 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2013 Get the matchplay cards even if you aren't going to play. I have several from previous trips.
HappyTXcruisers Posted March 10, 2013 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2013 We've had some ships make you turn in the receipts daily and then on our last cruise they didn't care. We turned in several days at once from several different bars on the ship. Then we played and cover over half our liquor bill.

SadieN Posted March 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted March 14, 2013 What is a Classic cocktail? They're labeled as such on the bar menu. There are several to choose from. I get the LongIsland Iced Tea and Margarita. They are all about $8.75.

pipcruiser Posted March 14, 2013 #12 Share Posted March 14, 2013 Is match play good for slot machines too, or just table games?
DoubleDeuce Posted March 14, 2013 #13 Share Posted March 14, 2013 Do you receive Match Play receipts if you are a Classic Cocktail within the Cheers program? Can you get match play credits and then walk away from a table (or machine) without using them all, or do you need to use the chips/credits next bet after redemption? dremn2004 Posted March 14, 2013 #14 Share Posted March 14, 2013 Do you receive Match Play receipts if you are a Classic Cocktail within the Cheers program? Yes. I just did this on the Dream last week. Can you get match play credits and then walk away from a table (or machine) without using them all, or do you need to use the chips/credits next bet after redemption? They can not be used on slots, but you can use them when you want at table games.
